Ice Sensations was created in 1987 by Gary A. Ross, as a small ice sculpting company. He used it as a place where he could express his artist abilities mostly for parties and weddings. Gary started his business with an electric saw and a hand chisel. After some time he found that even with the help of employees he was not able to with the demand for his work. Seventeen years later Ice Sensations has a warehouse full of machines that make, purify, lift, cut, and form the ice. Now Sensations can expand our ability to reach different locales.
We have recently began to franchise Ice Sensations. There are eight locations in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia including: Charlotte, Asheville, Columbia, Greensboro, Myrtle Beach, Wilmington, Sandhills, and Savannah. Each year we hope to open one or two more locations and try to sell them to people who have worked with us and have shown interest and skill for the trade.
Ice Sensations is a supporter of NACE, National Association of Catering Executives and NICA, The National Ice Carvering Association. We not only builds sculptures for them, we judge their ice carving contests! Ice Sensations brings years of experience with food, caterers and ice to every piece we make.
We're proud to say it, with this vision and drive Ice Sensations has become Carolina's premiere ice sculpting facility.
